Jemma
Head of fundraising & Programmes
I have a Masters in Spanish & Latin American culture and spent over a decade living in South America and the Caribbean where I worked on education programmes, indigenous participation and rights, fundraising and started a PhD . Most of my experience navigates the intersection of philanthropy, community development and indigenous rights advocacy, fostering equitable partnerships and resource allocation.
In the UK I helped to set up and worked for a local education charity, before moving on to work as Development Manager at World Literacy Foundation and then Fundraising Manager at Doorstep Library. Having grown up in Devon surrounded by nature, being by the beach and swimming in the sea, I loved the idea that children in London could have a space in nature in the middle of the city.
