Learning new skills
My experience with GG can be summarised perfectly with an experience where I was building carpentry skills. I was non stop talking with people about how much i love dovetail joins! I must have said it so much it must have started to wear everyone down a bit!
My thinking was that It would be years of carpentry experience until I would be able to make one myself - or at least attempt. Suddenly an opportunity arises on a quiet day on site, Nick inspires me to give it a shot. not only by attempting through my own guesswork but actually taught made this such a valuable day fir me. I really appreciated this as times like this could contribute towards a skill set i will always be able to utilise.
This was early December and since then my ability and experience has continued to improve, along with random instrument making (drumsticks especially) that has been fun to incorporate skills learned at triangle site with my interests. And as time has gone on, carpentry and earth building have become much closer to music as my passions in my life these days.
